Culture is all-encompassing, and it is only when we understand and acknowledge a culture that we can interpret the meaning of Scripture into it.

In seminary, my primary interest was leadership and spiritual formation. I was particularly focused on the integration of the formational journey with the leadership journey of spiritual leaders. This is how I first learned of Teresa of Avila.
